Homesick

Today is one of those days where no matter what I am doing it seems something else pops up (like blogging!) to distract me. As a result I feel like I am accomplishing very little. But when I stop and take account I realize I'm doin'...it's happening.
But case in point....I sent Sarah to school on the bus this morning only to find out she did not have school today. How could that happen, you ask. Well its a long explanation so suffice it to say it did and when I showed up to retrieve her she was happily playing with another classmate whose mother had done the same thing....so I was not entirely off base.
On the way home...by way of Costco and Target...Timothy and I had a wonderful talk. And it was that talk that made me homesick...homesick for Heaven. Don't get me wrong I am not anxious to leave this world prematurely BUT our talk made my heart long for Heaven, long to sit at the Lord's feet and just worship HIM. It was a very awesome homesick feeling. Perhaps you are curious about the details of the conversation and how they led me to those feelings...well the details are mine and I will keep them for myself...I can't share everything dear ones. But I am happy to report I think he is anxious for heaven too and that makes my heart equally glad.
In the end the unplanned "distraction" of running off to school to retrieve my sweetie turned out to be wonderful...and so life goes.

Embarrassed

I am embarrassed. And I could keep this embarrassment to myself and you would be none the wiser. I am the only one who knows.
I cleaned out the fridge and freezer today. Needed to be done. Well there is nothing embarrassing about a job well done. But its what I found. No moldy food. That's very good! No wasting, right? Well it was the freezer. I found 27 hot dog buns in 9 different packages! So sad. I repacked and threw a few out and I have 3 packs of 8 now. And that's good since I found 4 packs of hot dogs to go along with the 2 in my fridge!! I think we need to have a BBQ.

A Poem for Running

I made this up on my run today:

A dead toad on my run,
that just really isn't fun.

Babbling brook, wooden bridge and tall pine trees
This is the beauty my eye sees!!

I listen to the chirping birds,
who sing me songs without words.

Killer hills, seven miles, just over an hour....
I am tired now and out of power.

I never thought someday I'd be a runner,
now I can't imagine a workout any funner.

Creation

I just want to say I am not the descendant of a monkey or ape or any animal at all. I am a child of God, made by Him...in HIS image. This is what the Bible says and I believe.

Recently Sandor and I saw the movie Expelled. Boy am I saddened at the willingness of people to believe evolution and our public school systems' unwillingness to allow more than one idea about creation to be taught. It is an intentional discrimination against Christians.

I am even more saddened by how many people, many of them Christians, believe that evolution and the Bible are without conflict. That you can believe in the infallibility of the Bible and also believe in evolution! Genesis alone provides ample evidence that a belief in evolution does not agree with what GOD said HE did in His Word, the Bible. The theory of evolution is based on millions of years. God's word says He made man in ONE DAY. A careful examination of scriptures shows that when he says DAY in Genesis He means DAY...as we mean day...24 hour, evening and morning.

There is so much more I can add but am out of time for this post.....I will share more later.
