Happy Easter

Live from St. Louis.........its Saturday night

Hello! Here we are in St. Louis. Having the time of our lives. Its so fun to be with family!! There has been a lot of eating going on! And playing too. We woke the kids very early on Thursday and popped them in the car. The trip was a complete surprise. It was fun to be able to pull it off and they were so excited. Off to the airport. They did great on the plane ride and we were in Missouri before we knew it. We have enjoyed wonderful weather near or at 90 degrees. We have been to two museums and the zoo! Today we went to the City Museum. TOO FUN! I wish you could have seen us playing climbing all over the place with the kids. Rain is on the way but we hope tomorrow after church and brunch we can go to the botanical garden to enjoy the flowers. It is so nice to experience the beauty of spring and the new life it brings. Sarah is shocking us all by babbling up a storm. SHE IS SAYING HER NAME!! She is repeating much of what we say. Sarah, Lara, stomp, Dada, Mama, yeah,all done, I did..... It is so baffling to us. And we are thrilled at the same time. What brought the sudden spurt of chatter?? Whatever the reason it is a gift we are enjoying.
Tonight we will dye eggs for the hunt tomorrow. And off to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner....mmmmmm..........
Lara Piszar has--as always--been such a help with the kiddos. She just has the sweetest connection with Sarah and it is nice to see them together. We just love ya girlfriend!

What the Fortune Cookie Said

I ate a fortune cookie today. It wasn't a good one. Sometimes I think they are quite tasty. This one wasn't and was a complete waste of a dietary cheat. BUT my fortune read, "You and your spouse will be happy in your life together." Now I do not believe in horoscopes and all that stuff and the fortune from my cookie holds no real weight in my mind. My spouse, my hubby, and I were happy before the fortune and will be happy after. But little reminders from time to time are nice, aren't they?

To Jacob, my Jacob!
Some of you may know that my number one son (in birth order) doesn't always work hard at school. He requires a bit of persuasion, if you will, to get his work done. We have been working with him for the last several weeks to improve his work habits and really give some good effort. Today was report card day. AND....drum roll please....he did awesome!! This could be his best ever report card. Grades are ALL up and some more than a whole letter grade! All As and Bs. I love you kiddo. Fantastic job!! Now...keep it up!
