Journal
.jpg)
I was cleaning out Timothy and Andrew's room yesterday and found an old "summer journal" of Andrew's. I am not sure weather or not I did this last summer but most summers I have a journal for each boy and they must write in it 20 mins each day. I found the 2005 one in Andrew's desk and had fun reading through it and remembering all the fun things we did. I liked this last entry and thought I would share it. I think too its interesting what Andrew put down as the WORST part of his summer....if that's as bad as it got it must have been really good. And loved the best part too. You would think multiple trips to the beach would have topped the list but in the end it was spending time with family. Click on the picture if you need it larger.

My Running Shoes
Running shoes are like tires. They DO need to be changed on a regular basis. I track the wear and tear on mine visually and also keep an online log. This is really a great tool because then not only do I know exactly how many miles I put on my shoes but it calculates the cost of my shoes per mile. Neat, huh? Well it was about time for new runners. So yesterday I went online and tried to order a new pair of the same shoes I have. And they were not available in the size/color combo I wanted so I did some digging and ended up ordering the "new" version of the same shoe. I guess its "this year's model" or something like that. I ordered them from Zappos.com at around 1:15 pm yesterday and they are ON my feet right now. How amazing is THAT! 24.5 hours later and they are ON MY FEET. And let me tell you they feel good! I ran early today so they won't get a test drive till tomorrow but I think they are pretty cool. I will alternate between my old and new pair till my old ones are done just to get that last few miles out of them. BUT just putting these bad boys on my feel I can tell the spring is gone from the old ones. Isn't that amazing? But the old ones served me well. And now I will have the new ones broke in by the 10K I am in at the beginning of April....its all just so motivating!!
