New plates

Its truly time for some new dishes as we are down to just 4 bowls left from the everyday dinnerwear and many of the plates are chipped as well. They have served us well going on 16 years. So I am looking at new patterns and open to suggestions and ideas.
The above is one pattern I am considering. What do you think?

10K
Today I ran in my first 10K (6.2 miles). I have run this distance (and further) but this is the first time I have done so "competatively" At the pace I run I am not in it to win BUT my run is being timed and I'm technically competing but for me the competition is my own...completing the event, getting a good time, doing well, etc.
This run was great. The weather was outstanding and I even had to shed layers as I ran because it warmed up. It was the first time I had run this distance in over a month so I was a bit worried but I pushed on and it was great. It was the perfect way to kick off the running "season."
I just love the "energy" of the run. I honestly believe you can smell it in the air at the starting line. The excitement, anxiety, fresh air, of course add to that perspiration and...race day scent. Its neat how the crowd pulls me along at the beginning. It always takes me a mile or so to find the pace that I like to move at. And usually an event will have me moving a bit faster even. Its all so inspiring. Because I am not an elite athlete I do end up near the back of the pack and its just outstanding to turn a corner and see crowds of people running along in front of you. Very cool.
The boys also ran in a kid's marathon and did really well. All in all it was a great morning followed by lots of delicious tiredness.
