Somehow we made it
I've heard it said that if you can make it through the first three years with twins its smooth sailing. I will admit that the first three years have been hard years. But fun too. A whole lot of juggling, loss of sleep, everything takes longer to do, twice as many diapers to buy AND CHANGE....but I can't help think that twins at the wheel has to be even harder or at least scarier???
For me the first three years were complicated by the fact that developmentally my twins stopped being "twins" at some point during the first half of the first year. Timothy kept right on going, hitting all the milestones and Sarah, well, she lagged behind doing things at her own pace. Don't misunderstand me they ARE twins. They share a special bond and always will. Its very sweet to observe if you are given the chance.
Anyway...I am celebrating. My twins are three!! My babies aren't babies. In fact Timothy told me so. He heard me tell Sandor, "Let's get these babies to bed." Promptly Timothy interjected, "I'm not a baby. I'm a little boy." And SO he is! A sweet, kissable, trouble-making, fun little boy. And Sarah, she is a beautiful, sweet, precious, amazing little girl.
How I love them. How I love all my children!! I am glad those three tough years are under my belt. They were a blur..... I look forward to the years ahead. They will be fun and blurry too.
